Willy does not realize that his desire for success inspires his son’s disenchantment and shallowness. Dave had died the “noble death of a salesman.” which Willy himself craves. He liked him, and he became obsessed with being “well-liked” and believes that that would validate him more than family’s love would not and look “personally attractive”. When willy poses a query to Howard Wegner and says that he realized selling was a vast investment that anyone wants, and asks him what could be more sustaining than being able to do well and be known to many and be recalled and loved by many kinds of people he is deliberating how he defined to be a salesperson after meeting a prominent salesman Dave Singleman. He invests in his sons, but he gets disappointed with how they behave without realizing that he is investing in them. Ultimately, this split between his thoughts and authenticity consequences to psychological failure where he gets substantial instances from the earlier without gaining experience from the same past. He wonders why he has not risen to high levels of success that he trusts he can attain.
Throughout Willy’s life, he symbolizes his character to his domestic as being concentrated on vast accomplishment. He thinks that the achievement of life is to gain material success. Willy has a lot of latent, but he also has a shouting case of self-deception corresponding with ill-advised life goals. In the play, we do not know what he sells, but he has comprehensively believed in a type of the American Dream where Personality and providence amount for more than attentiveness.
